An ensemble of dedicated dancers, directed by Arie Hockman and based at Impulse Dance Center in Natick, bring the universal language of dance to the community as a form of communication. Inspired by the struggle with Multiple Sclerosis, Hockman’s “Details in the Fabric” portrays the journey from denial and isolation to finding internal strength and accepting support. Amanda Mastroianni’s “Corner of Your Heart” follows the secret life of dolls left to gather dust on a shelf wishing for their owner to re-discover them. Other works will touch on parties, love and cat burglary.

Tillie is a member of The Naughty Nanas Sketch Comedy Troupe which performed at NEFF in 2010. She’s an Italian-American Amelia Bedelia who loves politics. Tillie was widowed ten years ago when her beloved husband, Marty, had a tragic accident in an electric recliner. Tillie has been in mourning ever since and visits his grave often, where most of his ashes are buried, to reminisce about their life together and to keep Marty up to date on the latest news. Recent performances include DanceWorks Boston 2011, Mayfair, Dance For World Community, and guest performers at Drea's Dream foundation "Walk for the Children". Register for the NEFF - all acts and genres are welcome!
Registration for the NEFF is unjuried, meaning that you do not need to apply, you simply need to register. All acts are welcome, however we do ask that only family acts are eligible for the 1pm matinee performances.
To register an act for the NEFF, please the link below. There are no fees involved for acts 15 minutes or fewer, and other act registration fees are very reasonable ($10 for 30 minutes, $20 for 45 minutes). Call 978-667055 or email info@NEFringeFestival.com if you have questions.
You will be asked for the following information when registering online: -Your name and contact information - The name of your act (you must have a name for it) - A 100 word description of your act, please feel free to include previous awards or quotes. - The length of your act (15 minutes and under, 30 minutes, 45 minutes) - Arrangements for longer performances can be made on a case by case basis.
